Futile Fantasy was first created in 1998 as a whim. A cartoon was drawn of a friend as Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, and it elevated from there. Weapons quickly followed and as the idea expanded other aspects from the game series were added, such as magic, summons, job classes and items. Just for the heck of it, I placed it online just to see what kind of response it would get. In the summer of 1999, a comic section was started. And attention was drawn to possibly making it into a game. Slowly, the small project which was just a couple of scribbles began to evolve into something bigger. In September of 2000, a web domain was bought and Futile Fantasy became more mainstream, began to flourish. The game and comic projects began to take form and everything was going great. In November of 2000 came the "great crash". Where my computer died. Several other elements went wrong and the entire concept was put on hold. Finally in 2002, the Futile Fantasy project was restarted, minus the game (my compliments and credits to LordShnra and Dyne for their desire to turn this into a RPG). Bringing back and hopefully finishing this ever-in-work project. |

 October 7, 2005 "Where Have You Been??" Darn good question. God, has it really been 3 years?. Wow. I've really been out of touch. A lot has happened. Computer crashes, artwork ruined, moving around. The guy who Glitch was based on quit the site. Yada yada yada. I just got back online after a year, and saw that this place was still getting traffic. I almost didn't believe it. Thats encouraging. Makes me want to work on it again. But..to do so would require me to start from scratch on artwork though. Most to all of the originals got ruined. To an artist, thats almost worse than death. I'm not doing no spiffy update or web design yet. I guess that depends. I'm still the only one who would work on this, which is a big demand on time. So, I'm leaving it up to you, the people, the "fans"...I guess. No votes, no survey, just one request. If you want it back, email me. The link has been updated with a new email address. Just say, "Hey! Get back to work!", "Bring it back!","I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!"...well, you know the drill. Just say something. Until then....
